Guest Speaker: Parisa Nassiri
Parisa Nassiri is a fire and life safety consultant specializing in performance-based design, and code consulting. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology. After several years working as a civil engineer, she moved to the United States to pursue a Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering, combining her structural engineering background with advanced fire and life safety design expertise.
Parisa is actively involved in industry research and standards development, including participation in the American Society of Civil Engineers prestandard of Performance-Based Design Structural Fire Engineering and the American Wood Council Fire Design documents. She also teaches Performance-Based Design in the online program at University of Maryland, helping mentor the next generation of fire protection engineers.
