Guest Speaker: Sahar Sadegh
Sahar Sadegh is a designer and researcher with an academic background in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and most recently, Geography. She completed her Bachelor’s in Architectural Engineering and Master’s in Landscape Architecture in Iran, and she recently earned a Master’s in Geography from UC Davis. Her research focused on sustainable and climate-adaptive urban design, with a particular emphasis on wildfire resilience, urban heat islands, and community-based land management strategies. Sahar is currently exploring job opportunities and urgently needs to find one, she's excited to join a team where she can contribute and grow. Her technical skills include AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, ArcGIS, Enscape, Lumion, and Revit. As an artist and designer, she's passionate about painting, architectural visualization and using design to promote equity, belonging, and ecological awareness. At UC Davis, she served as a Teaching Assistant, leading undergraduate design studios and mentoring students in hand sketching, digital modeling, putting sustainable design strategies into practice, and visual communication. She has also worked as a designer, instructor, and workshop facilitator, teaching various architectural software tools. She's always excited to learn, improve, and connect.
